Freedom, life-giving roots
Dwight D. Eisenhower wrote, “Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed — else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.”
Through the storms
Storms come into our lives when we do not expect them, and we face them as best we can, but with many tools and supports, we can find calm. If you are a follower of the blog, I thank you for your continued support. A new storm cloud hovered over our home, and the energy it had taken from us was more than we had to give.
As the next few days pass, we hope to gain more information to have a better understanding so the clouds can clear to help us have a better vision for solutions.
I humbly ask for positive thoughts, prayers, and guidance as we face this storm. We can learn much from the storms we meet and those we overcome.
Missing the Points
Missing the point is not understanding the main point of what was stated. It is simply not understanding. A misunderstanding?
Have you ever been in a situation where you thought, “I don’t get it?” Maybe the person is discussing an issue, but they use terminology or expressions you are unfamiliar with in their conversation.

Quote to ponder
Many people foolishly believe that what matters in life is how much one has. It may be money, status, power, or anything that can be acquired. The mistaken idea is that having that thing we want, or having more of it, will make us content. But according to the Bible God can—and will—satisfy our real needs, as Jesus promised his followers.—
Can you find the difference between the two pictures?
