Unwrap this gift for all this year!
This is one word that echoes loud throughout the world; when it is not, then we need to be concerned. Help Out People Everywhere! When I see the word HOPE, this is what I think about. How are we helping others daily? I am not talking about donating money to charities (if you are doing that and can do so, great!) I am speaking about several ways we can bring HOPE to others each day.
While in one of my author groups at Berret-Koehler, our subject was Honesty. We heard great stories and shared terrific thoughts. One message I heard from author Jennifer Kahnweiler was about negativity. “We do not need negativity in our lives.” She is so right!
What messages of hope have you heard? How will you spread hope in 2022?
Solutions for HOPE
- The sparkle in your eyes is the smile that hides now but reminds others you share the joy of life with them.
- Show up every day to greet others in the same positive way.
- Always talk forward with enthusiasm as the past is gone and can not be changed.
- Speak truths of who you are as you inspire those to do the same.
- Encouraging words are powerful; when you are consistent, meaningful, and honest. “I will never give up on you.”
- How can I help you? It helps others know they are supported.
- Modeling kindness, empathy, and understanding builds trust in relationships as a foundation.
- Demonstrate core values, standards, and reliability.
- Negativity can not share space in the world of HOPE.
- Surround yourself with positives! When you do, your focus shifts, and thoughts become more focused on positive outcomes.
- Grow through self-reflection by learning from past success, mistakes and understanding how to move forward with a stronger plan.
More messages and thoughts…
We can not control what life may decide to throw at us, but we can always choose how we react and respond. We can allow ourselves to be human in our emotions as we look at our situation, but know our situation is based on the hope we have in all aspects of life.
Building solid foundations based in hope provides what? What does hope provide?
